About Us

Velnari was born from a desire to create an item that resonates with the body not only through form, but through sensation. We aimed to design a mat that supports a person in the moment without demanding anything extra. Its purpose is to be present in every movement, free from excess, free from unnecessary form. The name came to us as a sound that carries softness, stability, and continuity. There is something in it that feels like calm breathing that flows without hurry.

We focused on materials that naturally interact with the body. Natural rubber provides a foundation that holds shape and stays in place, while the PU surface listens to movement and maintains steady contact. The 6 mm thickness was chosen to offer softness while preserving a sense of support. We paid attention to every detail — the size, the texture, the way the surface responds to weight. All of this came together to form a mat that remains reliable in everyday practice.

When working on the color palette, we chose two tones — pastel pink and deep brown. Both express calm, warmth, and grounded depth. They blend well with many interior styles — from light and open to more shaded spaces. Our intention was to create an object that complements a space rather than reshaping it. Combined with a minimal design, this resulted in a mat that fits naturally into daily practice.

Our goal was to create not just a mat, but a part of the space where focus can grow. Every element — from the name to the surface — was made to support a sense of presence, clarity, and physical awareness. We believe in form that doesn’t compete with attention but supports it gently.
